One of the best opportunities ACTIVE has is to take the energy of the Tea Parties (and the emotion), and infuse it into the two-party system. We must also use this movement as a tool for ACTIVE operations. The Tea Party movement is simply ACTIVE without a structure. We need to begin to influence it and incorporate supporters and organizers into the ACTIVE structure. It should be every ACTIVE member’s goal to go out and join or start a Tea Party group with the goal of 1) shaping the movement, and 2) recruiting for ACTIVE.

You can easily find these groups online and join an existing one, start a new one, hang out, and then pick out recruits from there. The goals of preserving the Constitution and capitalism are 100% compatible with both groups (ACTIVE and the Tea Parties), and ACTIVE should be the de facto head of this movement. With ACTIVE’s emphasis on district, local and neighborhood groups, the alliance will tend to hang together longer as people will get to know each other on a personal basis, not simply ideological. Secondly, and more importantly, our organization of areas by district, etc., gives us a very useful tool to conduct reform from the ground up vis a vis public hearings, legislative meetings, local elections, zoning, etc… It is a perfect fit. This is a crucial step in expanding ACTIVE and in getting people who are natural ACTIVISTS anyway. The last thing needed is a bunch of whiny do-nothings.

In this respect, it must be understood just how ill-informed the left is, and how few recruits Organizing For America (OFA) actually has. Their protest events on the 9/12 weekend were miserable failures. The point of this is not to become complacent, but to understand that we have no need whatsoever to be intimidated by the massive OFA website with massive ops supposedly everywhere which in reality turn into 4-5 rain-soaked, depressed OFA people with signs saying “PUBLIC OPTION YES” on a street corner, or 10-15 ignorant liberals who can’t carry on an informed conversation. In many cases, these people are simply misguided — they are useful idiots — and they can sometimes be reasoned with, and possibly even converted.

Finally, some of the Tea Party leaders have received death threats. Consider finding a local Tea Party leader and, depending on the members of your group, offer protection or bodyguard service. ACTIVE Missouri did exactly that with one of the leaders in that State. During the event, ACTIVE members functioned as security, acted professionally, and kept a distance bubble away from the principal so as not to draw attention. This person loves ACTIVE now and the Missouri State President, who arranged the detail, appeared twice on her radio show. She has tweeted about ACTIVE and speaks very highly of the organization.

These are a few key ways in which ACTIVE can continue to develop a presence, influence other like-minded groups, recruit new members and leaders, and gain a reputation as the shock troops of the new conservative grassroots ACTIVIST movement.

I am of French-Canadian ancestry by accident, American citizenship through the grace of Almighty God, and resident Nebraskan by choice. I was born and raised on “French Hill” in Worcester, Massachusetts, where from my great grandparents onward, it was resolved that their children would read, write and speak English. My ancestors honored their ethnic heritage, yet they refused to sully that single identity which gave them opportunity and prosperity beyond any other; to wit: They considered themselves American… fully, irrevocably, and without the bastardizing insult of “something”-hyphened-American.

Upon coming of age at 16, I entered the arena of employment, having learned its responsibilities early through the lessons of mom and dad, whom each worked two jobs to support the family they created. At age 19, I began my 23-year career in aviation, relocated several times, and now work in home construction.

However, in all my travels, from Boston to San Francisco, from Maine to Key West… I have never doubted that the strength and fate of our nation lay not in the largess of government, but in the will of the people to uphold and defend their individual sovereignty and traditions. We are neither a collective of worker bees… nor a balkanized nation of clans, as is implied by the pimps of “diversity”… we are a people united, as co-sovereign individuals within unique and sovereign states, and each bound together in common belief that all men are equal before the law.

Our times are difficult, but such trials were no stranger to our ancestors. What has changed is that too many of our countrymen look to government as the solution to their problems, and our government is only too willing to take up the reins from our hands, and thus determine our individual fates. That is the natural inclination of government when a people abdicate personal responsibility and public duty.

Our first task is to restore in the minds of our fellows and our children the sense of history and common culture, which has suffered an intentional and near-fatal dilution at the hands of a multi-cultural Trojan horse: a clever artifice of socialists, whose true gift is perpetual victimhood rather than personal sacrifice, whose promise is chains of slavery rather than the cross of responsibility.

I am of the opinion that our task is best accomplished by a well-directed counter-revolution against the forces of group-think and consensus, which destroy critical thinking and personal responsibility. We must remind ourselves and our fellows that this nation is not a democracy, but rather, and most prudentially, ours was established a constitutional representative republic. The former is always the enemy of freedom, whereas the latter is the bulwark of the individual. For in the eternal measure of things, we are all individually accountable to one, indivisible sovereign and Almighty God; He alone shall be either our Savior or our Judge. In contemplation of that single truth, I end with these words: Fear not then man, whose power may destroy the body, but fear Him who holds the power to destroy the soul.

Demonstration against Obamacare in front of Rep. David Scott’s office in Smyrna Georgia. We were met by paid “Organizing for America” demonstrators - part of the ACORN Obama machine. 8-22-09.

The conservative movement in Missouri is quickly learning that when push comes to shove, ACTIVE is there. ACTIVE has been working closely with the Tea Party coalition and other groups to ensure a physical as well as video presence at local events. This was brought about by the SEIU beating of a conservative man in St. Louis on August 6th at Rep. Russ Carnahan’s town hall.

The White House has taken unprecedented steps to silence the American people and has told Democrats to “Punch back twice as hard” http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0809/25891.html . The SEIU representatives were told in a conference call the day after the beating to keep it up.

On August 7th we were contacted to see about making a presence known at the Anti-Violence protest to be held at the SEIU headquarters in St. Louis. In under 24 hours ACTIVE members answered the call and drove as far as 3 _ hours each way at their own expense. They arrived ready to stand against thuggery and violence instigated by the Union.

ACTIVE members, armed with their own cameras were asked to patrol sidewalks and keep an eye out for any trouble. They mingled with the crowd while monitoring for disturbances.

After the protest, ACTIVE members on their own initiative went and interviewed 3 boys that ACORN had dispatched as counter-protesters.

On August 10th, ACTIVE again answered the call to assist at a Senator McCaskill town hall to be held the next day. Members that attended were asked to provide a bit of security for a local person that has been receiving death threats for her vocal opposition against HR 3200. All members acted professional and were able to assist in video and photographic monitoring of the other side.

These two examples are why ACTIVE is gaining a trusted name around the state. The groups willingness to work with other organizations, be dependable and act professionally are keys to their success.

ACTIVE is engaged in many activities throughout Missouri. We look forward to assisting and guiding our fellow conservatives through the trying time ahead.

I want to know if this Police Chief was acting out of political passions, or political pressures (the mayor and other city political thugs were there), or if that night he was on the ACORN/Obama payroll. Civil court discovery motions and a thorough Federal law enforcement investigation of his civil rights violations will allow for a probe into his personal finances, as well as depositions and sworn testimony from all officers on duty as to the Chief’s orders and actions, both that night and during any other occasions of political activity.

As Matt notes below, the rank and file Womack cops were at odds with Womack’s use of their uniformed authority to support his Democrat’s agenda. The real American cops in Douglasville have stood up to CAIR. And by the way, we don’t use the term “real American” in some sloppy fashion. ACTIVE defines a real American as one who ardently supports the US Constitution, as Chief Womack obviously doesn’t, given his blatant trampling of it.

We were at a David Scott (D) town Hall meeting about a highway project in Douglasville. We intended to take the floor and ask him questions on his Health Care position as well as other things, and videotape it. While bringing our cameras into the venue I was stopped by an Acorn type and told that I couldn’t bring my camera. I ignored him. He went over to a cop, a radio call was made, I was approached by Douglasville police chief Chris Womack who threatened me with arrest if I took it in. He also asked for the camera. I refused to give it to him, and told him “I will be using it outside and there is no law against that”, he ratcheted up the attempt to intimidate me at that point, asking for ID. I had nothing to hide. Roger “Screaming Eagle” covertly caught the end of the exchange on his own video.

Throughout the townhall, free speech was shut down. If anyone asked an off-topic (non-highway 92) question, they were cut off and police and security immediately surrounded them.

There were plenty of video cameras in there, but we were singled out. You could also say that we were an obvious minority there.

BTW, it was obvious most of the other cops didn’t agree with the chief’s behaviour.

I don’t like the fact that this sworn officer of the law knowingly and intentionally violated my civil and Constitutional rights for political purposes.

I think from the meeting we got some good lessons learned as to the level these bastards clamp down on free speech and press. I am going to write up a “lessons learned” for future town halls. The town halls have not been going well for these guys and they are starting to resort to brown shirt behaviour.

At the ripe age of 6, my Mother and Father decided they couldn’t live with each other, or me. That is when my Grandparents, stepped up to the plate and decided to raise me. I have owned my own business for the last 30 years. From framing million dollar beach homes, to log cabins just below timberline. From churches to orphanages in Juarez. In that time, I have seen this business go to hell because of the invasion at our southern border and a lax government. I believe most of our beloved country’s problems are directly related to this. A nation without borders, is in fact, nothing more that a bustop. That is not what I want my beloved America to be.

Three years ago I moved my Grandfather in with me, fulfilling a promise I made when I was 9. I promised him that I would take care of him when he grew old. I am a man of my word.

New York State President and National Liason Officer Steve Mastrandrea had participated in a counter demonstration to ACORN about a week before he shot this video. ACORN was holding a pro-Obama Care rally at Chuck Schumer’s local office, and had alerted the local TV station. The station showed up, and although there were 150 anti-Obama Care protesters, and only 15 pro-Obama demonstrators, the media ignored our team, and only filmed the pro-Obama Care crew, including a special private interview with their leader. This was to convey the message that people were only demonstrating in favor of Obama Care, not against it.

So a week later, at another such demonstration, Steve confronted another camera man from the same station. Here it is:
