Opening Statement From The Newly-Appointed South Carolina State President
South Carolina has a new State President. His name is Steve Radley. He is one highly motivated individual, and he is motivated at the highest level: moral imperative. Here is his opening statement.
When I was asked if I would accept the South Carolina State Presidency, I wasn’t sure if I wanted that responsibility, to be quite honest. Then I found out I had a 21 year old son that I really didn’t know existed and that he and his wife just had a daughter….my grand-daughter, Bristol….and I am only 41! After dealing with the shock of that news, I started thinking. I started thinking about in what kind of world Bristol would grow up. Would she be a slave to the establishment? Would she be told how and where she would live, where she would work, what she would eat or if she could have kids and how many? Needless to say, I got a little emotional and then, quite frankly, I got pissed. I knew at that point, that I did not have a choice in whether or not I would accept the role as South Carolina State President. It was a moral imperative. Not just for Bristol, but for all the Bristols. I want these young Americans to grow up in the land of the free and home of the brave, just as our Forefathers intended. I know together, we can accomplish this goal and I can do my part by leading South Carolina in the fight!
I grew up at Fort Bragg, NC… yes, a military brat. My father was a Paratrooper with the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam and the 82nd Airborne Division as I was growing up. I wanted to be just like him. I took my oath and became a Paratrooper and Combat Engineer in 1986. My service taught me several unique qualities I can bring to the fight. I don’t quit or give up, I do not freeze in the face of fear, I will not shirk even the dullest duty, and, if need be, I can operate on my own confidently and effectively. Being around a major military base all of my life taught me much and instilled the utmost respect and love for my country. And, although extremely patriotic, I was never really into politics. I was too busy trying to make my life to worry about it. Now it is infringing upon my life, my children’s lives and my grand children’s lives. I know that my country needs me. What kind of hypocrite would I be if I did not uphold not only my own principles but the oath I took to “…protect and defend…”? I am here, I love my country and I will not let it down.
Although I am not originally from South Carolina, it is and will always be my home. I want to lead my home in the fight against the socialist/marxist agenda of this congress, this senate and this de facto president. South Carolina has my word that I will not give up on them, I will continue on wherever this fight leads us! To all other ACTIVE members, I want you to be assured that if all else fails; you are welcome to come to the FREE South Carolina.
I will never fail a fellow ACTIVE member. I cherish as a sacred trust the lives and freedoms of the men and women with whom I serve. Leaders have my fullest loyalty, and those I lead will never find me lacking.
I honestly wished that it would not come to this for our country and our state, but now that it has, I look forward to the challenges ahead and when ordered to do so, will attack without mercy and with all the vigor I can muster.
I am truly honored to have the opportunity to serve with ACTIVE as South Carolina State President and appreciate your confidence in me.
Now, LET’S GET ACTIVE!!
